David’s Psoriasis Treatment Story

My son David (who is now 13 years old) suffers from psoriasis. He was diagnosed with psoriasis when he was an infant (no more than 5 months old). At that time we saw every doctor and dermatologist there was to see in Orlando. David eventually cleared up, but then at the age of 6 years old, the condition resumed. Dr. Rico’s office was very supportive in helping David to recover.

Patient Quotes

My son’s first visit with Dr. Rico was amazing. She was so concerned about him, she got him immediate treatment and for the first time since birth he looks amazing! I have already recommended Dr. Rico to other Brevard County families.

Chloe's Story

Chloe, a beautiful, several month old baby was diagnosed with a nasal tip hemangioma. Like all parents, Chloe’s parents were concerned about the ramifications the red mark on her nose would have as she grew older. After a consultation with Dr. Rico, Chloe began a regimen of treatments, including oral medications and laser therapy. Since then, Chloe’s hemangioma has decreased dramatically and the red mark is disappearing.

Devin's Story

Loving the Skin He's In

Six year old Devin is just like any typical, young boy. He loves baseball, playing with his friends and going to water parks like Aquatica. However, Devin had developed a condition called Vitiligo, a skin condition in which there is a loss of brown color (pigment) from areas of skin, resulting in irregular white patches that feel like normal skin. With some help from Dr. Rico and the loving support of his family, Devin’s skin is returning to its natural pigment.

Hunter’s Story

We have been battling with my son's skin issues since he was 6 months old. He wasn't able to focus on anything but scratching, crying and being miserable.
