Pyogenic granulomas are benign vascular lesions that most often occur on the head and neck. These lesions typically appear as a red, pink or purple color and ranges in size from a few millimeters to centimeters. Pyogenic granulomas can grow quickly and can bleed profusely with little or no trauma to the area, so it’s important to consult a physician immediately.
